It's been a busy week, but it's fun to reach the finish line on a small project like this and put something out into the world. You can watch them in video format on our YouTube channel or find them in audio format wherever you get your podcasts (spotify, apple podcasts, iheartradio, etc) Yesterday Was Michelangelo's 550th Birthday!I'm planning on celebrating him in the next newsletter by exploring his influence in a more nuanced manner than how most historians handle it - In the meantime, here's a structural drawing demonstration from a plaster cast of the David's right eye that I completed last Friday afternoon: "Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it."

Thanks for your kind notes about the previous Drawing Board newsletter (#8!) - it was fun to relive the narrative of moving through different creative spaces in that format. I thought this newsletter should be a bit short and sweet to balance it out. Next week I'm excited to dive into Michelangelo's form-influence. It's going to be fun!
